In the circuit shown in the figure (Figure 1) . the 6.0 ohm resistor is consuming energy at a rate of 22.0 J/s when the current through it flows as shown. http://session.masteringphysics.com/problemAsset/1267081/2/yg.19.62.jpg Find the current through the ammeter A. What are the polarity and emf of the battery E, assuming it has negligible internal resistance?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So pretty much the 6 ohm resisters uses 22W

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, do you know that p=v*i

Help someone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, i'm back. Sorry for the abrupt ending.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Give me a sec, I'll try to solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for helping

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the other Voltage source given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All i'm given is the picture I have the link to, and the question with those numbers in it. That's basically it. I included the whole problem and questions and picture. There isn't anything else

Sorry, I'm not going to be much help. I can't seem to get one of the calculations correct. I used the mesh circuit analysis. Perhaps if you would use pspice it would simplify this for you.
