How to evaluate p(x) = -8x-2 when x= -2, 0, and 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug -2 , 0 , 3 into the equation one by one to get all three solutions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So i would get p=-8+1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at least when I plug in -2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-8(-2)-2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain how you got there? I was taking a test, so I didnt get the notes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply -8 and -2 , which would be 16 then subtract 16-2 which is 14

thank you so much!
