Use a number line to order the numbers from least to greatest. 1. 43/50, 0.91, 7/8, 84% 0____________________________________1

OpenStudy (venomblast):

84%, 43/50, 7/8 and .91

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should probably convert them all into decimals.

OpenStudy (venomblast):

well cya i need to head for biology class. bye :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Venom, giving answers is not helpful without giving explanation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u explain the answer @SmoothMath

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Party, these things are difficult to compare because they are all in different formats. If I convert them all to decimals, they are easier to compare.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you allowed to use a calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The easiest way to convert a fraction into a decimal is just to put it into your calculator. So, do that with the fractions and see what you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To convert a percentage to a decimal, just move the decimal two places to the left.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i already did that and i got .86

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhm as @SmoothMath said convert them into decimals itll be esiar so 84% turns into 0.84 and 43/50 turns into 0.86, 7/8 is uh 0.875, and .91

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.91*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so 43/50 is .86 And how about 7/8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.875

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thxxx sooooooo muchh guise! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're quite welcome =D

OpenStudy (venomblast):

i was going to explain it >.>. i had class i needed to attend.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, okay. Good to hear. Just know that in general, giving someone the answer tends to keep them from thinking through the problem at all. If you're at the destination already, why travel the path to get there?

OpenStudy (venomblast):
