Hi I am working on inverse functions and have a problem of f(x)=square root of x squared-16 , and I am asked to find the domain, and to identify if it is a 1-1 function, and if it is not how to make it a 1-1 function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the inverse of a square root function is a restricted parabola right?

something like that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think?

do you know if it is a 1-1 and what the domain is I got 4,positive infinity but when I used graphing calc it looked kike it would be neg infinity to -4 U and 4, positive infinity. and if I restrict it could it be 4,positive infinity?
