Evaluate the formula: C= 5/9(F-32) for F = -13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5/9(-13 - 32) 5/9(-45) 5/-405 -1/81

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that isn't correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I got -25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is the formula to convert Fahrenheit degrees to Celsius degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is: C = (5/9)(F-32) For F = -13 degrees, C = -25 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, Thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah see, 9(F - 32) threw me off. I apologize.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

be careful typing those formulas... if you put a fraction multiplied by a parenthesis, it is confusing if you mean like 2/3(a+b) with (a+b) on the denominator or like 2(a+b) / 3

ok
