whatever @CliffSedge is writing, just know that i give him/her a medal :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Ok, first look to see how each term follows from the previous one.
e.g. 1) -7, -10, -13, -16, ...
It seems like each term is 3 less than the one that came before it, so follow that pattern.

Solve step by step:
Let's insert 1 first.
y = 3(1) - 1
y = 2
So first term = 2
Insert 2.
y = 3(2) -1
y = 5
And so on..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
um it says which one fit the sequence
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Yes.. so we are going to try insert the values 1,2, 3, 4 and so on..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Ok ill try.
i do not get jt
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Why?
Where are you stuck?

Well, you want me to insert the numbers in each answer choice into the equation
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
No. Okay. Let me explain you again. Forget everything now
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Step 1:
Forget that you are given any options.
Step 2:
You are given an equation.
y = 3n -1
Where the value of indicates the term number.. 1, 2, 3, and so on..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes

Alright, so
now:
y = 3n - 1
Find the first term:
y = 3(1) - 1
y = 2
So first term = 2
----------------------
Find 2nd term
Insert 2.
y = 3(2) -1
y = 5
Now find 3rd term
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the thirdnterm would be 8?
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Perfect.
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
Now look at your options
OpenStudy (anonymous):
c:0
