How Do you solve this equation 1<=abs(x)<=4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve 2 inequalities. if \(x>0\) then \(|x|=x\) and so the first one is \(1<x<4\) but if \(x<0\) then \(|x|=-x\) so solve \(1<-x<4\) for \(x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

change the signs and also the inequality, get \(-1>x>-4\) or \(-4<x<-1\)
