-7n +23+9n=43

Ok....combine the one's with n. So...-7N+9N gives you...2N. Now you have 2n+23=43. Subtract your 23 on both sides. This way you have 2n=20. Then divide 2 on both sides to isolate then n. And what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Combine -7n and 9n to 2n. \[2n+23=43\] \[2n=20\] \[n=10\]
