Why are leaves green?
b/c they have chlorophyll (a photosynthetic pigment that harvests light) in an organelle called chloroplast.
idk
Because of the chlorophyll. It is in every plant sell. It has its own organell that produces the green color which obviously makes the leaf green
Why would you say you dont know?
If you do not know then just leave the question alone. Not to be rude but it makes the person who wrote the question have an easier time to read the responces, and narrow down the best answers. (just for future referance.)
~color of the leaf is green because of presence of chloroplasts in it theres chlorophyllthat absorbs the colors like red and blue range, but the color green is least absorbed by the chlorophyll, other absorbed colors vanish after being absorbed but the least absorbed colors like green are reflected off the surface of the leaf, thats why we see leaf as colored green. ~chlorophyll," the plant produces to do photosynthesis, which is how plants get energy from sunlight. ~The purpose of chlorophyll is to assist the plant in making food for itself by utilizing energy from sunlight and nutrients from the soil.
