CAN SOMEONE PLZ HELP!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. 4/52 x 3/51 b. 4/52 x 4/52

OpenStudy (amorfide):

@AbhimanyuPudi there are not 4 cards lol there are 13/52 which is 1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is a club? I thought it is one of the four types of cards...There are 4 sets of cards with four different symbols on them...I thought "club" is one of those four symbols..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so a would be 1/17 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are 13 clubs in the deck though... not 4

OpenStudy (amorfide):

13 clubs 13/52 x 12/51

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes..I'm sorry..its a. 13/52 x 12/51 b. 13/52 x 13/52

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1st card has 13/52 chance of being a club. 2nd card has 12/51 chance, since the first card drawn was a club and there are only 51 remaining cards. @amorfide has it right...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm really sorry guys for all this confusion!!

OpenStudy (amorfide):

13 goes to 12 because you take a card away without replacing it, this also reduces how many cards are left which is why you have 51 left instead of 52

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well 13/52 comes to 1/4 & 12/51 comes to 4/17 so i did 1/4 x 4/17 & got 1/17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes..that's right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wish i could give u both medals but THX!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome :)
