Identify the correct indefinite article for the noun: abrigo.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In Spanish, there are two kinds of indefinite articles: 1. UN 2. UNA They both can mean "a," or "an." But UN is used for MASCULINE nouns. And UNA is used for FEMININE nouns. FEMININE nouns usually end with the letter A. If the noun does not end with the letter A, it's likely a masculine noun. (There are a few exceptions to this rule.) "Abrigo" is a MASCULINE noun. (It means "coat.") So, UN is the indefinite article that we have to use here. We would say "UN abrigo." (A coat.)
