Oh, okay then.
Do we have assignments and deadlines? Or is this a course I can work freely in, i.e study the lectures in my ample time?
What will I gain from this course? Like will I just learn more about genetics?

This isn't an online course in the sense that you have mandatory assignments, deadlines or grades in. It's just a collection of video lectures that are uploaded online, so you can watch them in your spare time and re-watch sections if necessary; it's good in that sense.

The course mainly covers more in-depth topics about genetics so yeah, you will hopefully learn more about genetics, although all of the material covered does not necessarily have a practical application in your day-to-day life--unless you're a genetics researcher.
