please in DESPERATE need of help! medals rewarded. ive been needing to get this done, and this is making me fall behind! Euclid’s Elements includes five postulates on which the rest of geometry is based. They are: 1. Let it have been postulated to draw a straight-line from any point to any point. 2. And to produce a finite straight-line continuously in a straight-line 3. And to draw a circle with any center and radius 4. And that all right-angles are equal to one another 5. And that if a straight-line falling across two (other) straight lines makes internal angles on the same side (
explain what they each mean, and draw a picture for each of then, with point and letter! thanks so much!
1. says that you can draw a straight line through any two points 2. says that you can start with a line segment and turn it into a line (by extending it forever in both directions)
everything is already there. you need to understand them to explain them.
3 just says that you can draw a circle centered at a given point using a compass 4 says that all right angles (or 90 degree angles) are equal (to 90) not exactly sure what 5 is saying, i think it's describing 2 parallel lines (and a transversal line)
i just dont know how to draw all of those, using points and letter, like A, and B
# 1 Say you had 2 points A and B, you can draw a straight line through them like this |dw:1350001993100:dw|
# 2 if you have a line segment like this one |dw:1350002051756:dw|
you can extend it out in both directions to get |dw:1350002076308:dw|
