2x -2y -2x(dy/dx) + 3y^2(dy/dx) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2x - 2y) / (2x -3y^2) = dy/dx

if we look only at -2xy so you have to apply the product rule : take -2 out and -2 d(xy)/dx = -2 * (y * (dx/dx) + x * (dy/dx)) = -2y -2x(dy/dx)
