find a value for "a" so f(x) is continuous f(x) = x^2 + x + a , x less than 1 x^3 , x greater than or equal to 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

much easier than it seems replace \(x\) by 1 in both expressions, set them equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):
