how do you sketch the graph of the equation 2x^2-3x

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

this factories to x(2x - 3) when this = 0 , x=0 and 3/2 so u have the 2 intercepts on the x-axis

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

its a quadratic so the shape is a parabola and as the coefficient of x^2 is positive it will open upwards and have a minimum value

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

do u know any calculus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, I am currently in pre-calculus and we have been reviewing algebra two. We haven't gotten to actual calc yet

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

ok - i asked this because u can use calculus to find the minimum value of the function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okay. Yeah, we haven't gotten to any of that stuff yet

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

but the minimum value of x will be 0+ 3/2 / 2 = 0.75

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yours a rough sketch
