Write an expression for the total weight in the moving van if Katie uses "s" small boxes and "m" medium boxes. Part 2: Write a real-world situation of your own and a VARIABLE expression to go with i

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

15s+25m=total weight

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

do u have a real-world situation?

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

So now for the second part you gotta get creative. You have to think of a similar world problem. hmmmm well we can work with coins

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Ok lets say you have in your wallet a lot of coins you have dimes and quarters. How much money do you have in total? Dimes are 10 cents so d=.10 Quarters are 25 cents so q=.25 So our equation would be .10d+.25q=Total amount of money

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Oh we forgot to say that d= the amount of dimes and q= the amount of quarters in yyour wallet
