Two bodies of mass 'm' and '2m' when under the action of same force 'f' move through same distance 'd', which of the ball will have greater kinetic energy?

OpenStudy (fretje):

Supposing there are no other masses in the neighbourhood, one can write Ekinetic = m.v² = work done on the mass = dW = F.ds (Force times distance) As force and distance are equal for both masses, the answer is both will have equal energy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice, no need to calculate velocity.

OpenStudy (fretje):

correction: kin energy Ekinetic = m.v²/2 = dW = F.ds but conclusion stay the same, both masses will have equal kin energy. Succes.
