I think the site can be slow under heavy load. I also had issues today on OSX 10.6 both Chrome and Firefox browsers. (pressing the Run button would not do anything) Work in progress! Did you try the interactive version of the course text? http://interactivepython.org/courselib/static/thinkcspy/index.html#

Yes, that's what is slow. Guess starting this overloaded the servers a bit...I used the same browsers. How much data can that take up?
