I need help with this question Picture is attached!!!!
Move everything that is not a y to the other side of the equals sign.
Another strategy is to take all the answer choices and put them in the form Ax+By=C and see which ones match.
what happens to the 15?
You can leave it where it is for now. In some of the possible answers, it has been simplified by division, and in others it has not.
so far i got 5 3 2
What do those numbers represent, 5, 3, 2?
the numbers of the answers
Some of those don't check out. What strategy are you using? Are you solving the given equation or working backwards from the answer choices?
well i was using the ones with 3/5 for 15 and 3x
I have been stuck on this problem for awhile
Ah. Here's one way to solve for y. Give 3x+5y=15 Subtract 3x 5y=15-3x Divide by 5 y=(15-3x)/5 There are a couple different ways to simplify that last line.
Alright i think i got it 4, and 5
There is at least one more that works.
got it! its the 4th one to righ @CliffSedge
Look at the 4th an 6th, they are commutative.
awhh ok i see its not the 5th one cuz it 3/5 and 15/5
No, 5th is fine, that was the original form of the solution that I showed.
