Hi! I was wondering if someone could help me. With graphing.

y=-1/6x+5

ok so its negative 1 over 6 so over to right and down one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so for your equation, you have y = -(1/6) x + 5 the form is y = mx + b slope m = -1/6 this means the diagonal will go the other way... up to the left y-intercept b = 5 this means your line will hit the y axis at "5"

And when you draw the line through the y axis intercepting at 5, it needs to go up to the left 1 unit for every 6 units horizontally... it "rises" 1 for every 6 it "runs"
