I foiled (8+2i)(2+6i)=16+48i+4i+12i^2
i got to 4+52i/40 and im stuck

ok so worked on it. 1/10+52i/40 =1/10+13/10
\[\frac{ 1 }{ 10 }+\frac{ 13 }{ 10 }\]

if you meant \[\Large \frac{ 1 }{ 10 }+\frac{ 13 }{ 10 }i\] (which I'm assuming you did), then you are correct
