So, ilikephysics2 was wrong. Moderators and Ambassadors can't create groups. Only admins can (like myself). And if this is for the Mechanical MOOC that launches tomorrow we already have a group for that for you to join. :)

The option for 'create a study group' was taken away a long time ago because of sooo many groups being created everyday.
