I would elaborate on the idea some more, expand on the basic idea with additional sentences. Provide 3 - 4 sentences on why you want to develop your vocabulary and steps you will take in the class to achieve that outcome.

For confidence, you might speak to your desire to communicate effectively in different situations. For instance, formal communications skills can help your confidence in school and the job market.
