Identify which equation is a quadratic equation. y = −5x − 3 y = −4x(x + 10) + 34 y + x2 = (x − 4)(x + 3) y − 2 = (x − 2)(x2 + 1)

Here is what I recommend you do. Distribute equations 2-4 and see which one has a power of 2. This will tell you which one is a quadratic equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first one is not a quadratic equation because it is raised to the power of 1.

I can help if you are willing to work it out.
