(a) you have to take the derivative of c(t) , equate to 0 and then find critical points out of those critical points you have to find the one that maximizes c(t)
Can I have a little bit of more hint to find out the first part, I am not getting it.
take the derivative of the equation and put equal to 0 and hence find factors of it..
you need to solve a cubic equation which can be a bit painful
