Everything is submitted online. There are graders for when you write code snippets.

Using the "Check" button, your answer is submitted for grading!

In the edX site, you have problems to do, and you do it right there, fill with your answers and click on the "Check" buttom, it will tell if is "Correct" or "Incorrect", if is correct, move on and you'll se the how progress bar changes.
