OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

Please help me find the derivative of the following function...

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

\[x^{e}+\frac{ 1 }{ x ^{\sqrt{10}} }\]

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

\[ex ^{e-1}+\frac{ 1 }{ \sqrt{10}x ^{\sqrt{10}-1} }\]

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

\[ex ^{e-1}+\frac{ x ^{1-\sqrt{10}} }{ \sqrt{10} }\]

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

is that the correct, final answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first term is correct, but the second is wrong. Maybe rewriting the term as \[x ^{-\sqrt{10}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will help you see your mistake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember the power rule \[nx ^{n-1}\]

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

right, isn't that what i did?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you did \[\frac{ x ^{1-n} }{ n }\]
