in a circle the coordinates of the endpoints of a diameter are (4,5) and (10,1). what are the coordinates of the center of the circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this problem is written as if you need to do something with a circle, but if you think about it for a sec, if you have the coordinates of the endpoints of the diameter, and you know the diameter passes through the center, then the center of the circle is the same as the mid-point between those 2 points. Have you worked other problems where you had to find the midpoint between 2 points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i jus have to find the midpoint

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes :) That's all. The midpoint between (4,5) and (10,1) is the center of the circle.

thank you
