PLEASE HELP ME I have to redo this question and get it right. The question was--A round pizza is cut unevenly. Each new cut will cross all previous cuts. Describe a patter in words relating the number of pieces to the number of cuts in the pizza. Then use your pattern to predict the number of pieces when 5 cuts are made. My answer was this---If 5 cuts are made then there will be 32 pieces. Because each cut when they cross the previous cuts doubles the number of pieces. So....where did I go wrong and how do I work out the real answer? Diagram's in the comments.

Just because each new cut goes across all previous cuts, doesn't mean it cuts all prevoius pieces in two:|dw:1350312900520:dw|The cut C intersects cuts A & B but only goes through 3 out of 4 slices.
