(trig) Displacement from the t axis is 9 m when t is at 0, amplitude is 9m, and period is 0.2 sec. Put this in an equation with the form of y= A sin/cos Bt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer = 9 cos(10pi t) .... not sure how to do this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know how to graph these functions in the form of y= A cos/sin B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

obviously i know how they got the 9 part... confused about the period/B part

(trig) Displacement from the t axis is 9 m when t is at 0, amplitude is 9m, and period is 0.2 sec. Put this in an equation with the form of y= A sin/cos Bt If the displacement starts at 9m, which is the amplitude, at t=0, then that matches the graph of cosine.

Thanks good guy greg.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;-) The period of sine or cosine is 2π/B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could also use a sine function, but you'd have to include a phase shift of π/2.

thanks again
