how do antibiotics work to cure bacterial infections

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Some prevent the synthesis of enzymes essential to them but not to us , thats why we don't die along with them ! Others compromise the bacterial genome preventing there proliferation ( dividing ) . But most simply break down the part of the cell wall thats provides rigidity making them literately burst , so when you take them for an oral infection , when the pain stops - think of them all bursting into your mouth - tasty !
