FOIL 2(x^2 + 6y)(x - 12y)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a + b)(c + d) = ac + ad + bc + bd now try yours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would I work out 2(x^2 + 6y) first and distribute the 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

parenthesis first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is same thing either start with 2(x^2 + 6y) or (x^2 + 6y)(x - 12y) you will get the same result

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm almost sure this isn't correct but x^3 - 12yx^2 + 6yx - 72y is what I got without distributing the 2 yet...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute now after u finish foiling

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HAHA nevermind it matches up to my answer I was right, thank the lord. Thank you all very much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both way you should got the same answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):
