(5)/(8)(-(2)/(8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is fractional multiplication, which is almost identical to normal multiplication. \[\frac{ 5 }{ 5 } * \frac{-2}{8}\] just multpliy across. So, 5*-2 = -10, 8*8=64 \[\frac{5}{8} \times \frac{-2}{8} = \frac{-10}{64}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Typo, sorry. at the beginning I meant 5/8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And remember to simplify \[\frac {-10}{64} \] to \[\frac {5}{32} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-5/32, I need to type more carefully

Please help them work it out don't just give answers
