Fran has a drawer containing 4 black t-shirts, 3 orange t-shirts, and 5 blue t-shirts. If she picks one t-shirt at random from the drawer, what are the chances that it will NOT be orange?

9/12, if you want a percent: divide nine by twelve and multiply by a hundred.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kay altogether there are twelve shirts (4+3+5=12) but there are nine shirts that are not orange (4+5=9)
