(2y^2-y+6)-2(y^2-3y+5)=11 step by step please.

I got 3, is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 is correct. Do you still need step by step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2y ^{2}-y+6-2y ^{2}+6y-10=11\] you need to combine like terms and eliminate the ones that cancel out. so you get.... 5y-4=11 add 4 to both sides 5y=15 Divide by 5 y=3
