Scenerio: You are on the first snowboarding trip of the year and you're a bit rusty. You lean into the hill and pivot over a mogul (small jump). Rotating like a helicopter, you land hard on the snow pack and recover with a deep bend. How does this skeletal and muscular system coordinate it's response and sustain the stress of all this activity?

While you ski, your legs remain bent and relax to decrease the pressure and thus force on your leg bones and muscles. The arc created during the 'deep bend' also allows the force of impulse to decrease(due to increase of time of action, Newton's second law), and allowing your systems to recover.
