please help; how do you solve -2(3x-2) > or equal to 4-x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-6x+4>4-x\] \[-5x>0\] \[x<0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain the last part?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea. so -5x>0; now you have to divide by -5. multiplying or dividing by a negative nber changes the sign of inequality so x<(0/-5) so x<0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks what about this one ; -5< or equal to 3(x-9)? i got 22/3 < or equal to x, is this right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-5<=3x-27 22<=3x x>=22/3 yes you are right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thaks
