Yes, it's good habit to write variable in front! Use pen or marker so I can read it easier :(

Break it down :
( x + h )² = x² + 2hx + h²
-> 4 - ( x² + 2hx + h² ) - ( 4 - x² )
= 4 - ( x² + 2hx + h² ) - 4 + x²
= - h ( 2x + h )
=> - h ( 2x + h )/ h = - ( 2x + h)
At ( -2, 0 ): + 4 - h
Thus Lim ( h-> 0) = 4
