lim x goes to 3 f(x) =4 , lim x goes to 3 – f(x)=2, lim x goes to -2 f(x)=2, f(3)=3 , f(-2)=1 SKETCH THE GRAPH.. I ONLY NEED THE ANSWER

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@calculusfunctions HOPE YOU WILL HELP ME OUT

hartnn (hartnn):

lim x goes to 3 – f(x)=2 means lim from left, right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I THINK SO

hartnn (hartnn):

f(3)=3 means the value of the graph at 3 will be 3. and yes, its lim from left

hartnn (hartnn):

start drawing co-ordinate axes and plot the points, u know for sure

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

OK do you think we can do this quickly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i only need the answer..

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

I think @hartnn seems to be more than capable of handling this one. Is that OK with you? Because I really have to go? @hartnn do you think you can guide her without being tempted to do it for her? I need to know before I go.

hartnn (hartnn):

i just wanna know how to draw graph after plotting points, smooth curve or straight lines or something else ?

hartnn (hartnn):

u know that calc ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that could be anything..

hartnn (hartnn):

if u give final answer calc, i will guide her to it .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as long as the graph is a function with the test of horizontal line then its fine

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

@hartnn it doesn't matter whether it's lines or curves, as long as it satisfies the given conditions. Do you understand?

hartnn (hartnn):

draw the final graph, please, i will tell her how.

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

OK so that means it is a one-to-one function since it must pass the horizontal line test.

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

@hartnn and @zaisha how about I draw one with the given condition so that you can see and then @hartnn do you think you can help her after to draw another one?

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, one will be fine

hartnn (hartnn):

at 3

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

|dw:1350388409550:dw| Based on the restrictions this seems to be the case. However I really can't read what she's written. @zaisha you need to write the problems more clearly! I really have to go now. I don't have time to sit here and guess what you intended to write. @ hartnn please ask here to repost the problem exactly the way it was written in her assignment because this was just my estimation of what I though she was trying to say. Thanks!
