8x^2-6x-9 = 0 (4x + 3)(2x-3) = 0 x = -3/4 and/or x = 2/3

-12 * 6 = -72 -12 + 6 = -6 so, you have 8x^2 - 12x + 6x - 9 grouping, 4x(2x - 3) + 3(2x - 3)
