So @gaara438125 chose to write that mix fraction as an improper fraction by doing \[Q \frac{R}{D}=\frac{D \cdot Q+R}{D}\] \[1 \frac{1}{3}=\frac{3 \cdot 1+1}{3}=\frac{3+1}{3}=\frac{4}{3}\] So we have \[\frac{1}{2} \cdot \frac{-4}{3}\] To multiply fractions, multiply straight across on top and multiply straight across on bottom.
