A company's revenue (in dollars) can be modeled by the function (will attach function in a sec!) where p is the price in dollars of the company's product. What price (in dollars) will maximize the revenue? Round to the nearest penny. ***Please show steps and explain! :) THanks :)
FUNCTION!! :)
hey hero :) do u get this? :)
what happened to the thingy u typed? :O it disappeared!
! :O
Actually, set p = -b/(2a)
Is this a calculus question heart? c:
mmk so a= -15 b= 200 c=10,000 right??
it's precal/trigh @zepdrix :)
Yes
*trig
no, it's the site being bonkers...
so i plug it into the equation u gave me and i get this? p=-200/2(-15) =-200/-30 =6.6666666666667 so p is about = to 6.67?
yeah the new OS is weird :( what do u think of the new OS?? and is what i wrote above correct?? idk :/
I love the new subtopics c: they prolly just gotta work out some kinks
You have to insert the value of p you found back into the formula R(p) then evaluate
yeah like i probably just need to get used to it :P ugh soooo foreign tho.. i JUST got used to the OS and now i have to get used to this now :( and yeah it takes FOREVER to load now :(
R(6.67) = -15(6.67)^2 + 200(6.67) + 10,000
Ever since deleting all those I fanned, everything is working smoothly for me.
so i get this? R(6.67)=-15(6.67)^2+200(6.67)+10,000 = -15(44.4889)+1334+10,000 = -667.3335 + 1334 + 10,000 = 10,666.6665 which is about 10,666.67 ??? is that correct??
haha yeah but i didn't even fan that many people :/ like probs only fanned 20 ppl :/
so is that my answer??? The price that will maximize the revenue is $10,666.67. ??? @hero? is that it??? :D
Yeah, that looks about right.
awesome!! :D Thanks so much!! :)
@iheartfood, how many groups are you signed into?
what do u mean by groups?? like subjects??
