OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)=(2x^2tan(x))/sec(x) find the f'(x)

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

i thought quotient rule but maybe we can simplify first = 2x^2 * sin x ----- cos x ------------ 1/ cos x = 2x^2 * sin x this can now be differentiated by product rule

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

f'(x) = 2x^2 cos x + sin x 4x = 2x(x cos x + 2 sin x)
