HELLLPPP MEEE!!! Suppose you have two similar trapezoids with a scale factor of 2. If the angle measures of trapezoid ABCD are 80°, 80°, 100°, and 100°, what are the measures of the angles in trapezoid EFGH?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Choose one answer. a. 40°, 40°, 50°, and 50° b. 80°, 80°, 100°, and 100° c. 160°, 160°, 200°, and 200° d. cannot be determined

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

Is that the whole question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

If it's a scale factor of 2, that means that trapezoid ABCD can either be scaled up or down by 2. If it was scaled up, then the measures of the angles of trapezoid EFGH would be answer c. If they were scaled down, then it would be answer a. But since we do not know if trapezoid ABCD is scaled either up or down, I would assume that the answer is d.

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

Do you get it..? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i totally understand that!!! thanks so much!!

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

your welcome :)
