I just want to say hello to everyone and that I'm really excited about taking this course. My last chemistry course was in 1977... Yikes!!! wow how time flies... I hope that we can all help each other out. Take care and good luck to everyone!!! oh and I live in Victoria, British Columbia Canada. I'd love to know where everyone is located... let us know please!!! Cheers!

Thanks Isabelle (blue raven). My last chemistry course was in 1971 and it worries me that I have already forgotten a bunch of things but I'm quite happy to review and dust off my brains as well as meeting new friends in this course. I live in Ibague Colombia South America, and work at the University of Ibague. I'm happy to be here with all my classsmates.

Hi Carlos, my own last chemistry class was in 1977, so I can completely relate with the fuzzy brain! I bought an excellent and simple (but a bit older 1995) little book called "The Periodic Kingdom" by P.W. Atkins, it taught me more about basic chemistry than any class I took back then, and is very easy to read, I recommend it. You are In Columbia, wow, just a little bit South East of me here in British Columbia!!! hey we are both in Columbia then! ha ha ha... isn't cool to chat with people all over the world? I love it. I hope to one day visit South America, Machu Picchu, the Andes... Well, back to class, nice to talk to you! take care!

Hiya Isabelle! I am in Colombia South América, not Columbia as in the states and whenever you want to come around you'll be very welcome. I haven't been to Machu Pichu yet, but I can tell you it's such a special place not only because of its beauty up there hidden in the mountains, but because it's magic and there's a lot of cosmic energy and mistery in its atmosphere.
