SSS = their respective side lengths are equal SAS = a pair of sides are congruent, as well as the angle BETWEEN them ASA = a pair of angles are congruent, as well as the side BETWEEN them AAS = a pair of angles are congruent, as well as a side. (this follows from ASA)
