The website is much more laggy now ever since the new update. EVERYTHING is so slow.

I noticed that too. And earlier none of the SmartScores were showing up and the messages were acting funny. :|
Plus, the "Equation" button looks a little funny...

When i post a question it freezes, chat takes forever to popup and send my message, the groups take forever to load, and i almost never see anyones smart score

It's all gone to pot, endless loading of pages, freezes, the navigation gets stuck...
I had to give up with Opera, this is in Chrome, see how that works out...

I go to a math post, do something, then I can't get back to the front page.

We are aware of lag, especially with joining Math. We're looking into what could have caused it.

It's a server issue, not a browser issue so it shouldn't really vary between browsers. We've got some ideas, but it does seem to be load related so unfortunately when the busiest groups get burned at the busiest times.

FWIW, mattfeury indicated this in another post, but I want to make sure everyone in this thread hears about it as well. We think we've isolated what component caused the issue. Things should be behaving a bit more than they were previously. As usual, let us know if things break completely.
