why did isolationist senators objet to the league of nations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They were upset over what the league's language said about its members being required to aid one another if they are attacked. The senators objected to it as they didn't want the United States pulled into another conflict it had no business in being in, so they rallied support against authorizing the President to sign the Treaty of Versailles and the US never became part of the League of Nations.
