Fluid mechanics question => A water tank is connected to two pipes at the side near bottom. The distance between the water surface and the center line of the pipes is 4 m. The diameter of pipe 1 is 0.1 m and the diameter at the outlet of pipe 2 is 0.05 m. It is already known that the total head loss in pipe 1 is 2v2 / 2g and the total head loss in pipe 2 is 0.1v2 / 2g 2 , where 1 v and 2 v are the velocities at pipe 1 and at the end of pipe 2. Calculate the flow velocity at the outlet of pipe 2?
